It is that time of year again where I get my theater fix!
This year I was offered the role of RACE in Bay City Player's production of NEWSIES! I originally had this role back in 2020 when this production first was meant to go up, but COVID-19 stopped us in our tracks right before we ever got to perform. In 2023 I was given a letter in the mail to reprise my role once again! AND THIS TIME ALSO CHOREOGRAPH! I was so excited and started planning immediately.
Theater is a creative outlet for me an I was happy to accept my role in the show and also my role on the production team as choreographer. The show is a fan favorite, and a classic that no one should miss! I have made so many new friends and got to keep my teaching and dancing experience in check. The cast ranged in so many ages and levels of experience that there were plenty of times of being challenged, but I always made it back on top.
I also got to help set build, design, and paint backdrops aiding once again to my creative expertise. This show has been nothing short of fun, and I can't wait to see what comes next!
